‘Full WiFi Coverage’, or stating a site has WiFi can be a relatively ambiguous description…what exactly does it mean? A Home-Hub router in an office, ‘boosters’ throughout the building? Or fully-structured & cabled access points retaining full speed and bandwidth?
When it comes to planning a wireless network for a building, there’s a few variables to take into consideration. Mainly its use; What’s it being used for? Is it simply to allow guests to browse the internet, send emails and use apps – or will there be more intensive requirements, such as streaming on Smart TV’s, and apps such as Netflix?
The type of building you’re in is another factor to consider – buildings built relatively recently, which have plasterboard interior walls, typically require less planning than the likes of thick interior stone walls, due to the reduced obstruction of signal & connections through the walls.
In the example below, a network-issued router, such as that from Virgin Media or Sky, is placed in a location within the building. The coverage is circa. 10 metres, but drops significantly out-with this.
In this example below, our WiFi Access points are strategically placed & cabled throughout the building, allowing for full, end-to-end coverage. As users roam the building, their devices will seamlessly connect to the nearest access point, continuing full coverage availability throughout the building.
This is where our free WiFi Survey & Heat Map offer comes in…
Here’s the 5 stage process:
Swift & Seamless Installation
During our Site Survey, we take into account multiple factors in order to determine the most efficient and robust solution for your needs – as well as ensuring the finished solution can be as well-presented and aesthetically fitting as possible. The structure of walls, whether you’re in a building with plasterboard or stone walls, roof tiles or a solid roof is all taken into account.
